Gold Prices Rise on Monday Due to Speculator Demand and Firm Market
Gold prices rose on Monday in futures trade due to increased demand and fresh positions created by speculators.
The Multi Commodity Exchange saw gold contracts for August delivery increase by Rs 984, or 0.69 percent, to Rs 1,44,090 per 10 grams with a business turnover of 591 lots.
Analysts attributed the price rise to the building up of fresh positions by participants in response to firm spot demand.
