Gold Prices Rise, Silver Falls Amid Speculative Trading
Gold prices rose by Rs 309 to Rs 1,52,650 per 10 grams in futures trade on Friday as speculators created fresh positions on firm spot demand.
The yellow metal contract for October delivery traded higher on the Multi Commodity Exchange with a business turnover of 10,209 lots.
Analysts said that market participants' fresh positions led to a rise in gold prices.
Silver prices, however, fell by Rs 735 to Rs 2,33,364 per kilogram due to participants reducing their bets.
