Gold Prices Rise to Rs 1.54 Lakh Per 10 Grams Amid Firm Spot Demand

Gold futures prices rose on Wednesday, reaching Rs 1.54 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions due to firm spot demand.

The Multi Commodity Exchange saw the yellow metal contracts for October delivery increase by Rs 924, or 0.6%, to Rs 1,54,689 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 848 lots.

Analysts noted that fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in precious metal prices.

Globally, gold futures also increased, rising 0.74% to USD 4,402.40 per ounce in New York.

Silver prices rose 1.46% to Rs 2.39 lakh per kg in the futures trade on Wednesday amid a firm global trend.
