Gold Prices Slashed in Bangladesh Bullion Market
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced on Friday that it would be reducing gold prices in the local bullion market. According to the announcement, the new prices will take effect starting Friday, July 24, 2026.
The price of 22-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 3,324 taka, from the previous price of BDT 2,24,182 taka to the new price of BDT 2,20,858 taka. Similarly, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 3,150 taka, from the previous price of BDT 2,14,093 taka to the new price of BDT 2,10,943 taka.
The price of 18-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 2,683 taka, from the previous price of BDT 1,83,883 taka to the new price of BDT 1,81,200 taka. Traditional (Sonaton) gold per bhori has been reduced by 2,216 taka, from the previous price of BDT 1,50,232 taka to the new price of BDT 1,48,016 taka.
