Gold Prices Slip on September 2 as Rates Decline Across India
Gold prices in India experienced a marginal decline on September 2, 2026. The price of 24K gold decreased to Rs 15,408 per gram, down from the previous rate. Similarly, 22K gold was priced at Rs 14,124 per gram, while 18K gold stood at Rs 11,556 per gram.
The rates vary across different cities in India, with Delhi and Mumbai having prices of Rs 15,423 and Rs 15,408 respectively for 24K gold. Chennai had the highest price for 24K gold at Rs 15,463 per gram.
Silver prices also fell on September 2, with a rate of Rs 249.90 per gram or Rs 2,49,900 per kilogram. This is a decline from the previous day's rate of Rs 250 per gram.
