Gold Prices Soar Above $4,400 Amid Weaker US Job Market
International gold prices have surpassed $4,400 an ounce, and investor interest is growing as prices rise again. This comes after a 25% adjustment in June following an all-time high earlier this year.
The Korea Gold Exchange reported that the price of pure gold (24K) was 880,000 won, up 10,000 won (1.15%) from the previous day. The current price is 241,000 won lower than the high point in January when it reached KRW 1,121,000.
International gold spot prices moved around $4,415 an ounce on Wednesday, reaching a three-day upward trend and the highest level since June 5. This rebound was largely due to the lower possibility of a rate hike as U.S. employment indicators were weaker than expected.
