Gold Prices Soar by Rs 710 in India Amid Middle East Tensions
Gold prices in India have surged by Rs 710 for 24-carat gold and Rs 650 for 22-carat gold over the past 24 hours, as tensions rise in the Middle East. The price of 24-carat gold has increased to Rs 1,55,130 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold now costs Rs 1,42,200 per 10 grams.
The 18 Carat gold rate, however, has declined by Rs 530 in the last 24 hours, reaching Rs 1,16,350 per 10 grams. The price increase is attributed to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which has caused a rise in demand for safe-haven assets like gold.
The prices of gold have been affected across major cities in India, with minor changes observed in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Bhubaneswar. The silver rate in India has remained flat over the past 24 hours, costing Rs 2,50,000 per kilogram.
