Gold Prices Soar in Baghdad and Erbil to 1 Million Iraqi Dinars

Gold prices in Baghdad and Erbil have seen an increase as of Monday. According to market data collected by Shafaq News, gold is now selling for around 1 million Iraqi dinars (IQD) per mithqal.

In Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street, the selling price of 21-carat gold was recorded at 1,012,000 IQD, while the buying price was 1,008,000 IQD. The same gold had been sold for 1,006,000 IQD on Sunday.

The prices varied slightly in jewelry stores, with 21-carat Gulf gold selling between 1,015,000 and 1,025,000 IQD per mithqal, and Iraqi gold selling between 985,000 and 995,000 IQD. In Erbil, the price of 22-carat gold was 1,047,000 IQD per mithqal, while 21-carat gold was sold at 1,000,000 IQD.
