Gold Prices Soar in Bangladesh Amid Latest BAJUS Announcement

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced an increase in gold prices in the local bullion market on Friday, July 31, 2026. The new prices took effect starting that day.

The price of 22-carat gold per bhori has been increased by 2,216 taka, from the previous price of 2,20,858 taka to the new price of 2,23,074 taka. Similarly, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been increased by 2,100 taka, from the previous price of 2,10,943 taka to the new price of 2,13,043 taka.

The price of 18-carat gold per bhori has been increased by 1,750 taka, from the previous price of 1,81,200 taka to the new price of 1,82,950 taka. Traditional (Sonaton) gold per bhori has also seen an increase of 1,458 taka, from the previous price of 1,48,016 taka to the new price of 1,49,474 taka.

The current prices for various types of gold are as follows: 22 Carat (11.664 grams) Gold Price: BDT 2,23,074; 21 Carat (11.664 grams) Gold Price: BDT 2,13,043; and 18 Carat (11.664 grams) Gold Price: BDT 1,82,950.
