Gold Prices Soar in Bangladesh Following Latest BAJUS Announcement
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced an increase in gold prices for the local bullion market on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The new prices took effect immediately and will impact various types of gold sold in Bangladesh.
The price of 22-carat gold per bhori has been increased by 1,050 taka, from the previous price of 2,31,880 taka to the new price of 2,32,930 taka. Similarly, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori has also increased by 1,050 taka, from the previous price of 2,21,441 taka to the new price of 2,22,491 taka.
Additionally, the prices of 18-carat gold and traditional (Sonaton) gold have also been increased. The price of 18-carat gold per bhori has been raised by 933 taka, from the previous price of 1,90,123 taka to the new price of 1,91,056 taka. Traditional (Sonaton) gold has seen an increase of 758 taka, from the previous price of 1,55,306 taka to the new price of 1,56,064 taka.
