Gold Prices Soar in India After Sharp Rebound
Gold prices in India rebounded sharply on Thursday, September 10, after slipping the previous day. The national 24-karat gold rate rose to ₹1,55,510 per 10 grams, a gain of ₹1,200 from Wednesday's rate.
The bounce-back reverses all of Wednesday's decline and then some, with 22-karat gold up ₹1,100 and 18-karat gold up ₹900. This was the sharpest single-session gain for gold this week.
Dealers attribute Thursday's recovery to a swift reversal in global spot gold prices, driven by investors who booked profits on Wednesday's dip stepping back into bullion as it found renewed support overnight. A softer US dollar and increased safe-haven demand contributed to the move, traders said.
