Gold prices in India have seen an increase on August 6, 2026, despite market volatility. According to current market statistics, gold of 24 carats is valued at ₹14,973 per gram. This rise comes as investors show a preference for the commodity due to prevailing economic uncertainties and safe-haven demand.

The prices have been trading near record levels, with 24K gold priced at ₹1,49,730 for 10 grams and ₹14,97,300 for 100 grams. The price of 22K gold is at ₹1,37,250 for 10 grams and ₹13,72,500 for 100 grams. Meanwhile, 18K gold costs ₹1,12,300 for 10 grams and ₹11,23,000 for 100 grams.

Experts suggest that the prices can rise further if there is increased uncertainty in the global economy. Central banks continue to buy up gold strongly, and a depreciated US dollar can drive up the price of bullion. Additionally, the low-interest rate environment is favorable for gold investment.
