Gold Prices Soar in India Amid Global Market Shifts
Gold prices continued their upward trend in India over the past week, with the precious metal gaining as much as Rs 7,960 per 10 grams. Silver also recorded a sharp weekly increase of up to Rs 10,000 per kilogram.
The decline in the US bond market has triggered a rise in gold prices globally, which is reflected in domestic bullion markets. Gold prices increased by Rs 2,390 to Rs 2,600 per 10 grams across most major bullion markets in India on Sunday.
24-carat gold was trading between Rs 1,63,090 and Rs 1,63,240 per 10 grams in most major bullion markets, while 22-carat gold was quoted between Rs 1,49,500 and Rs 1,49,650 per 10 grams.
