Gold Prices Soar in Pakistan's Local Market
Gold prices surged in Pakistan's local market on Monday, with the 24-karat per-tola rate increasing by Rs1,700 to settle at Rs428,436. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported this price hike.
The association also noted that the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,457 to reach Rs367,314. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold gained Rs1,335 to reach Rs336,716.
Gold prices in the international market also witnessed an upward trend, climbing by $17 to $4,060 per ounce, according to the association's report. Meanwhile, silver prices recorded a significant increase in the local market.
The price of silver per tola rose by Rs54 to reach Rs6,291, while the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs46 to Rs5,393. The association also reported an increase in the international market, with silver prices rising by $0.54 to $58.12 per ounce.
