Gold prices have been experiencing fluctuations in recent weeks, but the overall movement has remained relatively moderate. The price of 22-carat gold declined by ₹640 per sovereign last week, while silver prices slipped by ₹5 per gram at the beginning of the week before remaining steady for six days.

The markets were closed on Sunday (August 2), and gold prices remained unchanged at ₹1,05,760 per sovereign. However, on Monday (August 3), coinciding with the Aadi Perukku festival in Tamil Nadu, gold prices recorded a fresh rise.

The price of 22-carat gold increased by ₹240 per sovereign to ₹1,06,000, while the per-gram price rose by ₹30 to ₹13,250. Financial experts suggest that investors should avoid making decisions based on daily price movements alone and instead focus on long-term goals.
