Gold Prices Soar Over ₹2,000 as Global Instability Takes Hold

Global instability has led to a significant rise in gold and silver prices over the past week. According to the India Bullion Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold has increased by ₹2,622 to reach ₹1,43,781 per 10 grams, up from ₹1,41,159 per 10 grams previously.

The price of 22-carat gold has also seen an increase, now standing at ₹1,31,703 per 10 grams, compared to ₹1,29,302 per 10 grams earlier. Meanwhile, 18-carat gold is priced at ₹1,07,836 per 10 grams, up from ₹1,05,869 per 10 grams.

Silver prices have also surged, now at ₹2,22,721 per kilogram, an increase of ₹6,974 from ₹2,15,474 per kilogram. The experts attribute the rise in gold and silver prices to increasing global instability, particularly following the U.S.-Iran conflict.
