Gold Prices Soar Past $4,100 Per Ounce Amid USD Strengthening

Spot gold has surged past $4,100 per ounce, reaching an all-time high of $4,099.88/ounce, up 1.15% on the day. The main COMEX gold futures contract is also experiencing a rise, currently quoted at $4,101.80/ounce, up 0.76% on the day.

The U.S. Dollar Index, which measures the value of the dollar against six major currencies, has risen by 0.07% on the day, closing at 101.539 in the late trading session.

As a result, exchange rates have shifted, with 1 euro now exchanged for 1.1368 U.S. dollars (down from 1.1370 in the previous session) and 1 British pound for 1.3288 U.S. dollars (down from 1.3326 in the previous session).
