Gold Prices Soar Past $4,135 Per Ounce Amid Global Market Volatility
Global gold prices surged past $4,135 per ounce today, pushing local markets in Pakistan to prepare for an upward adjustment. The sharp increase is attributed to strong international buying demand and ongoing inflation worries, which are driving investors towards safe-haven assets like precious metals.
The spot price of gold jumped by $57.59 per ounce, representing a single-day gain of 1.41%. Silver prices also rose by 2.06% to trade near $60.72 per ounce in overseas exchanges.
According to a senior commodity analyst, the current market trends indicate that capital is quickly flowing into physical commodities like gold and silver when global interest rate projections shift and stock markets experience volatility.
