Gold Prices Soar Rs 676 on Firm Demand and Fresh Positions
Gold prices surged in futures trade on Monday, rising by Rs 676 to reach Rs 1.55 lakh per 10 grams. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCE), gold contracts for October delivery traded higher by 0.44% at Rs 1,55,182 per 10 grams.
The business turnover in this trade was 1,111 lots. Analysts attributed the rise to fresh positions built up by participants due to firm spot demand.
Globally, gold futures increased 0.40% to USD 4,394.01 per ounce in New York.
