Gold Prices Soar to New Heights in India on August 29
Gold prices in India remained high on August 29, with 24-carat gold trading at around Rs 1.61 lakh per 10 grams and 22-carat gold near Rs 1.48 lakh per 10 grams.
The retail rates for gold varied slightly between cities, with Delhi and Mumbai having similar prices to Bengaluru and Pune.
Silver prices also remained elevated on August 29, with 999-fine silver priced at around Rs 2.55 lakh per kilogram in several major cities.
The rising demand for precious metals can be attributed to global financial market developments and geopolitical conditions, including expectations around US Federal Reserve policy and uncertainty surrounding conflicts and international relations.
