Gold Prices Soar to Three-Month High on Safe-Haven Demand
Gold prices rose to their highest level in more than three months on Monday, driven by continued investor demand for the precious metal as a safe-haven asset.
The spot price of gold gained 0.5% to $4,627.42 per ounce, with US gold futures also moving higher, rising 0.1% to $4,683.80 per ounce.
This latest increase reinforces gold's position as a preferred safe-haven asset amid ongoing uncertainty in global financial markets.
Meanwhile, other precious metals were mixed, with silver falling 0.3% to $68.76 per ounce, platinum declining 0.5% to $1,868.03 per ounce, and palladium slipping 0.3% to $1,345.87 per ounce.
