Gold prices jumped ₹1,200 to ₹1,63,500 per 10 grams on Friday in India's national capital, while silver surged ₹5,000 to ₹2.50 lakh per kilogram.

According to traders, gold of 99.9 percent purity rose to its highest level in over three months, last seen on May 19 when it traded at ₹1,63,600 per 10 grams.
The global prices of gold also rallied, with spot gold rising $81.58 or 2 percent to $4,600.91 per ounce, its highest since May 18.
