Gold Prices Stabilize Around $4,400 Amid Easing Inflation Fears
Gold prices held steady around $4,400 an ounce on Thursday after rebounding by 1% in the previous session. The metal's gain was attributed to softer expectations for energy-driven inflation and a weaker US dollar.
The US Federal Reserve's potential interest rate hike has been a concern for gold investors, but recent comments from Fed officials have eased some of these worries. On Wednesday, President Donald Trump appeared to rule out a prolonged military campaign in the Middle East, which helped slow oil's recent rally and reduced inflation concerns.
According to Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John Williams, there is evidence that US inflation is continuing to ease as the impact of tariffs fades. The latest labor market data also showed a more moderate pace of hiring, further tempering expectations for aggressive Fed tightening.
