Gold Prices Stable at Major Jewellery Brands Amid Market Volatility
Gold prices remained largely unchanged at major jewellery brands on August 26, 2026. According to Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., and President of India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 'gold and silver are trading steady to bullish as markets weigh the U.S. Treasury's decision to double bond buyback operations, which pushed the dollar to a three-month low.'
The IBJA's latest indicative retail rates of gold showed a slight decline compared to the August 25 evening rates, while silver prices moved higher.
Tanishq's price for 22k gold jewellery was Rs 15,055 per gram across major cities on August 26, with no change from the previous day. Malabar Gold & Diamonds and Joyalukkas also maintained their 22k gold rates at Rs 15,010 per gram.
The IBJA's indicative retail selling rates for gold jewellery on August 26 were: 24K / Fine Gold (999) - Rs 16,143 per gram; 22K - Rs 15,756 per gram; 20K - Rs 14,367 per gram; 18K - Rs 13,076 per gram; and 14K - Rs 10,412 per gram.
