Gold Prices Steady Ahead of US Payrolls Data Release
Gold prices remained steady on Friday, poised to close out the week with a small gain. The market's attention is currently focused on the upcoming US payrolls data release, which will provide crucial insights for the Federal Reserve's next interest rate decision.
As of 02:11 GMT, spot gold held its ground at $4,477.10 per ounce. In contrast, US gold futures for December delivery fell by 0.4% to $4,522.60. The slight discrepancy between spot and futures prices may indicate some market uncertainty ahead of the payrolls data release.
Among other precious metals, silver fell by 0.3% to $66.78 per ounce but is still on track for a weekly gain. Platinum lost 0.8% to $1,811.28, while palladium declined by 0.4% to $1,415.75, both of which are expected to end the week with slight declines.
