Gold Prices Surge 0.15% Amid Firm Spot Demand
Gold prices rose on Thursday in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions due to firm spot demand. The yellow metal contract for the October delivery traded higher by ₹231, or 0.15%, at ₹1,53,994 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange with a business turnover of 867 lots.
This price increase was also reflected in global markets, where gold futures rose 0.47% to $4,419.57 per ounce in New York.
