Gold Prices Surge ₹1,029 on Firm Spot Demand Amid Speculator Buying

Gold prices on Thursday rose by ₹1,029 to ₹1.53 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on firm spot demand.

The Multi Commodity Exchange saw a business turnover of 2,467 lots for the yellow metal contract for the October delivery, which traded higher by ₹1,029, or 0.68 percent, at ₹1,53,431 per 10 grams.

Analysts said fresh positions by market participants led to a rise in the precious metal's prices, citing firm spot demand.
