Gold Prices Surge ₹200 in India Amid Overseas Rally
Gold prices in India rose for the fourth consecutive day to reach ₹1.54 lakh per 10 grams on August 7, 2026.
The precious metal gained ₹200 from Thursday's closing price of ₹1.53,800 per 10 grams, according to local traders.
This increase in gold prices comes amid a sharp rally in overseas markets, with spot gold rising by 2% to $4,325.43 per ounce, and silver advancing over 4% to around $64 an ounce.
Gaurav Garg, Head of Research at Lemonn Markets Desk, attributed the rise in gold prices to a weak US dollar, easing inflation expectations, and continued demand for bullion ahead of the US non-farm payrolls report.
