Gold Prices Surge for Second Day to Record Highs
Gold prices continued their upward trend in international and local markets on Friday, marking the second consecutive day of price hikes. The price of gold rose by $52 per ounce to reach $4,547 in the international bullion market.
In the local market, the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of gold increased by Rs5,200 per tola to Rs477,136. This comes on the heels of a Rs13,700 per tola increase on Thursday, when the price rose to Rs471,936.
The price of silver also continued its upward trend, increasing by Rs210 per tola to Rs7,379 in the local market. The APGJSA reported that 10 grams of silver rose by Rs180 to Rs6,326.
