Gold Prices Surge in Bangladesh Amid Latest Rate Hike

The price of gold in Bangladesh has increased again, as per the latest decision by the Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring of BAJUS. The price of 22-carat gold has risen by Tk 5,482 to Tk 246,110 per bhori, including VAT.

This new rate was decided at a meeting held on Saturday. The prices of other types of gold have also been raised, with 21-carat gold increasing by Tk 5,249 to Tk 235,030 per bhori and 18-carat gold rising by Tk 4,491 to Tk 201,846 per bhori.

Additionally, the price of traditional-method gold has gone up by Tk 3,616 to Tk 164,812 per bhori. The silver prices have also seen a rise, with 22-carat silver increasing by Tk 175 to Tk 5,482 per bhori and 21-carat silver rising by Tk 175 to Tk 5,249.
