Gold Prices Surge in India: 24K Gold Hits ₹15,486 Per Gram
Gold prices in India rose on August 12, 2026, with all three purity levels recording gains from the previous session. The price of 24K gold increased by ₹104 per gram to ₹15,486, while 22K gold rose by ₹95 to ₹14,195 per gram.
The rate of 18K gold also moved up, gaining ₹77 per gram to reach ₹11,614. These prices are based on the latest rates available and do not include GST or other applicable levies.
For someone buying 10 grams, today's increase translates into roughly ₹1,040 more for 24K gold, ₹950 more for 22K gold, and ₹770 more for 18K gold compared to the previous rate. The difference becomes ₹10,400 for 24K, ₹9,500 for 22K, and ₹7,700 for 18K gold at 100 grams.
Among major Indian cities, Delhi has the highest 24K gold price at ₹15,528 per gram. Buyers should note that making charges can differ substantially between jewellers and designs, so comparing the complete invoice is more useful than comparing only the per-gram gold rate.
