Gold Prices Surge in India Amid Global Demand Uncertainty
Gold prices in India continued their upward trend on July 25, 2026, increasing by ₹600 per 10 grams for 24K gold and ₹550 per 10 grams for 22K gold. According to Goodreturns, the current price of 24-carat gold is around ₹1.44 lakh per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is priced at approximately ₹1.32 lakh per 10 grams in most major cities.
Silver prices also remained firm, trading at ₹2.40 lakh per kg across most cities. The rise in gold prices is attributed to strong global demand, uncertainty in international markets, and continued buying by investors seeking safe-haven assets.
Experts believe that gold may remain volatile in the coming days depending on global economic developments and currency movements. As a result, individuals planning to buy jewellery or invest in gold are advised to compare local jeweller prices before making a purchase, as rates may vary slightly due to making charges, GST, and city-specific factors.
