Gold Prices Surge in India Amid Global Uncertainties
Gold prices rose in India's domestic market on Friday, mirroring gains in international precious metal prices amid a weaker US dollar and ongoing global economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
In the national capital, Delhi, 24-karat gold was quoted at Rs 159,510 per 10 grams, while 22-karat gold was available at around Rs 146,218 per 10 grams. Silver of 999 purity was priced at approximately Rs 244,560 per kilogram.
Similar trends were observed in other major Indian cities, with prices varying slightly depending on local demand and taxes. Analysts pointed out that investor attention remains focused on US monetary policy, interest-rate expectations, currency movements, and global economic data, which could influence precious metal prices.
