Gold Prices Surge in India, Silver Rises to ₹2.25 Lakh/kg Amid Record High Fluctuations

The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) reported that gold and silver prices have increased on July 27. Silver rose by ₹2,050 to ₹2.25 lakh per kilogram, while gold became more expensive by ₹751 to ₹1.45 lakh for 10 grams.

Gold has become ₹12,000 costlier so far this year. On December 31, 2025, gold was priced at over ₹1.33 lakh per 10 grams, compared to its current price of ₹1.45 lakh.

Silver prices have declined by ₹5,000 per kilogram since last year's peak. Silver hit a record high of ₹3.86 lakh per kilogram on an unknown date but fell to ₹2.30 lakh/kg on December 31, 2025.

According to commodity expert Ajay Kedia, gold and silver prices have fallen significantly from their record highs. He expects gold to rise to ₹1.60 lakh per 10 grams and silver to reach ₹2.80 lakh per kilogram by the end of this year.
