Gold Prices Surge on MCX Market Reopening

Gold prices rose on Monday after the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) market reopened following a two-day closure. The futures price for 24-carat gold on MCX increased by 0.56% to ₹1,43,904 per 10 grams.

The Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) reported that the gold price stood at ₹1,42,757 per 10 grams at the close of the market last week.

Gold prices in various cities across India are as follows: Delhi - ₹145,080 for 24-carat gold; Mumbai - ₹144,930; and Chennai - ₹145,090.
