Gold Prices Surge on Strong Demand and Speculator Bets

Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose to Rs 1.52 lakh per 10 grams on Friday due to strong spot demand and fresh positions by speculators.

The price of gold futures for October delivery increased by Rs 309, or 0.20%, at Rs 1.52 lakh per 10 grams in a business turnover of 10,209 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise to firm spot demand and fresh positions created by market participants.
