Gold Prices Surge Past $4,630/oz Amid US Treasury Yield Push

Spot gold prices have broken through the $4,630.00/oz mark, reaching $4,630.30/oz at press time, a 0.56% increase for the day.

The COMEX gold futures main contract is now quoted at $4,686.60/oz, up 0.13% from yesterday's prices.

This development comes as US Treasury Secretary Yellen is reportedly prepared to take aggressive measures to push the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield to around 5%, according to Wall Street executives cited by Fox Business.
