Gold Prices Surge to ₹1.51 Lakh/10 Gm as Silver Rates Reach ₹2.33 Lakh/Kg in India

Gold and silver prices in India have seen a significant increase, according to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has increased by ₹1,440 to reach ₹1.51 lakh. This marks a rise of ₹8,000/10 gm in just 10 days.

The price of one kilogram of silver has increased by ₹1,909 to reach ₹2.33 lakh. In August alone, gold has become expensive by ₹8,201 and silver by ₹14,995. The prices have been fluctuating throughout the year, with gold becoming more expensive by ₹18,000 so far in 2026.

Commodity expert Ajay Kedia predicts that gold could once again reach ₹1.60 lakh by the end of the year, and silver ₹2.80 lakh. Investors can buy gold and silver through Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), which allow for buying and selling like shares on BSE and NSE.
