Gold Prices Surge to Rs 1,44,090 as Speculators Bet on Strong Demand
Gold futures saw a significant rise in prices on Monday, reaching Rs 1,44,090 per 10 grams due to strong spot demand. This increase is a direct result of speculators creating fresh positions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, August delivery contracts for gold traded higher by Rs 984, or 0.69 percent, in a business turnover of 591 lots.
Analysts noted that the rise in precious metal prices was driven by fresh positions built up by participants.
