Gold Prices Surge to Seven-Week High in Delhi as Dollar Strengthens
Gold prices in Delhi reached their highest level in seven weeks on August 6th. The metal rose by ₹3,800 to touch ₹1,53,800 per 10 grams for the third consecutive day.
Silver also surged, increasing by ₹2,100 to ₹234,800 per kilogram. Traders pointed out that the rupee's weakness has impacted gold demand, making it more expensive to buy in other currencies due to a strong dollar.
The rise in gold prices was driven by international market trends, with gold rising to $4,264.24 per ounce and silver easing to $61.80 per ounce.
