Gold Prices Surge to Three-Month High Amid Global Economic Uncertainty
Gold prices have hit a three-month high as investors continue to seek out safe-haven assets amidst global financial market uncertainty. The precious metal rose by 0.5% on Monday, reaching $4,627.42 per ounce at 01:55 GMT.
This increase marks the highest level for gold since May 15th and follows a strong rally in recent weeks. US gold futures also moved higher, rising 0.1% to $4,683.80 per ounce.
The latest gains reinforce gold's position as a preferred safe-haven asset, but other precious metals have fared less well. Silver fell by 0.3% to $68.76 per ounce, platinum declined 0.5% to $1,868.03 per ounce, and palladium slipped 0.3% to $1,345.87 per ounce.
The rise in gold prices is a reflection of investor demand for the metal as a safe-haven asset during uncertain times. The metal has been gaining value over recent weeks, driven by concerns about global economic stability.
