Gold Prices Volatile Amid Middle East Tensions and Higher Oil Prices
Gold prices fluctuated on Tuesday due to renewed geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which boosted safe-haven demand. However, higher crude oil prices and uncertainty over the US Federal Reserve's interest-rate outlook limited gold gains.
The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) saw gold futures trade lower after the previous session's decline, with the October contract quoted around ₹1.54 lakh per 10 grams. Domestic bullion market movements tracked international prices, the rupee, and global commodity markets.
Retail gold prices in Delhi remained elevated, with twenty-four-carat gold at around ₹154,450 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at around ₹141,476 per 10 grams. City-wise gold & silver prices varied across cities and jewellers depending on local taxes, duties, and making charges.
