Gold Rally Hits Resistance as Overbought Conditions Loom
Gold prices have surged in recent days, breaking above a key declining trendline and reaching an intraday high near $4,700. According to UOB's Quek Ser Leang, this move has triggered overbought conditions that may lead to a pullback or consolidation.
The broader uptrend remains intact, but the daily slow stochastic is nearing its most overbought level since February's record. This could indicate a near-term correction in gold prices.
Support for Spot Gold currently lies around $4,425, which marks the minor ascending daily trendline. A breach of this level would be a sign that upward momentum has faded.
