Gold Royalty Sees Record First Half Amidst Industry Headwinds
Gold Royalty Corp. reported its second quarter 2026 results on August 6, 2026, highlighting a record first-half performance despite significant headwinds in the mining sector.
The company's shares have faced considerable pressure, falling 23% during the second quarter as gold prices declined 13% and gold mining equities broadly retreated. Currently trading at $2.87, the stock sits near the bottom of its 52-week range of $2.45 to $5.455.
Gold Royalty reported a record first half on record, with total revenue, land agreement proceeds, and interest reaching $17.3 million, representing a 116% increase year-over-year. The company delivered 3,677 gold equivalent ounces (GEOs) in the first six months, up more than 40% from the prior year period.
However, actual second quarter revenue of $6.73 million fell short of the $9.41 million analyst consensus, tempering enthusiasm for the strong first-half performance and contributing to the stock's decline.
