Gold Seeks First Monthly Gain in Five Amid US-Iran Tensions

Gold prices have been on an upward trajectory in recent days as investors weigh the impact of the US-Iran conflict and parse the signals from the Federal Reserve. The metal is headed for its first monthly gain in five, with a weekly rise of 1.1%.

Spot gold has risen by more than 2.2% this month, its sharpest gain since February. On Wednesday, spot gold rose 2% after the Fed left interest rates unchanged at its latest policy meeting.

US gold futures for August delivery have also seen a gain of 0.1% to $4,094.10 per ounce. The current price is $4,096.29 per ounce, as of 0107 GMT.
