Gold Set to Outshine Oil in 2026 Commodities Market
Izak Odendaal, a financial expert, predicts that 2026 will be a year of two commodities: oil and gold. While oil is primarily a supply story, gold's fortunes are tied to demand.
According to Odendaal, the current price of gold, $4,328.01 per ounce, remains stable at 0% change over the past day. However, he notes that the price of Brent Crude has surged by 4.4% to $94.65 per barrel.
Oil prices are largely influenced by supply and demand imbalances, whereas gold's value is more closely tied to investor sentiment and economic uncertainty. As such, Odendaal believes that gold will be a key player in the commodities market next year.
