On August 25, gold prices continued their upward trend on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), while silver saw some pressure after its recent rally. The MCX Gold futures for October 2026 rose to ₹1,63,434 per 10 grams, up ₹1,000 from the previous session. In contrast, the MCX Silver futures for September 2026 fell to ₹2,44,815 per kg, down ₹1,782.

The strong run of gold has added almost ₹8,200 per 10 grams across four trading sessions. Meanwhile, silver has paused after three consecutive days of strength. Traders are closely watching the US dollar, inflation updates, and interest-rate outlook for cues.

At the national level, 24K gold was priced at around ₹1,63,490 per 10 grams, while 999 fine silver was priced at around ₹2,45,250 per kg. Gold has gained over 5% in the past week, while silver has also posted strong weekly gains despite Tuesday's volatility.

City-wise prices for gold and silver vary slightly across different regions, but overall trends indicate a bullish outlook for gold and a cautious approach to silver.
