Gold, Silver Prices on MCX Rise Amid Muted Dollar
The price of gold and silver on India's Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) saw an increase on September 9, 2026. The rise in prices was attributed to firm demand and a muted US dollar. Gold futures for October delivery opened with a 0.30% decrease but later rose to Rs 1,53,599 per 10 grams, up by Rs 1,020 or 0.66%. Silver futures also gained, touching an intraday high of Rs 2,41,475.
The COMEX gold price increased by 0.25% to approximately USD 4,416.1 per troy ounce. Analyst Ponmudi R from Enrich Money stated that the current bias remains cautious below Rs 1,54,000 and a break above this level could target further resistance at Rs 1,56,300-1,57,000.
