Gold, Silver Prices Rise as China Services Trade Expands
Gold and silver prices closed higher on Thursday, with gold futures for December delivery gaining 2.84% to settle at $4,539.90 per ounce.
Silver futures for December delivery rose 3.42% to close at $67.704 per ounce, according to the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Meanwhile, China's trade in services maintained steady growth in the first seven months of 2026, with exports rising 17.1% year on year to over 1.77 trillion yuan.
The export of travel and transport services drove more than half of the overall export expansion, with travel service exports surging 27.7% and transport service exports rising 27.1%.
