Gold, Silver Prices Surge as US-Iran Agreement Hopes Boost Safe-Haven Assets
Gold and silver prices surged on August 6 as investors remained optimistic about a possible US-Iran agreement.
The rally came despite reports suggesting that the Strait of Hormuz could reopen, but comments from US President Donald Trump indicated Washington was seeking an agreement with Iran.
Silver futures climbed to an intraday high of Rs 2,28,397 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) before paring its gains, trading at Rs 2,26,580, a decrease of 0.44% from the previous close.
